28 January 2008

Well, with warm and sunny climate come crazy 'speedy' drivers. It was quite a show out there today for those blessed enough to travel the TP of this beautiful State. I wrote a full book of tickets by 10:00am, meaning in 4.0 hours, I wrote ten tickets, you do the math. I ended up hammering out 13 tickets, which is rare for me because I usually 'burn out' so to speak after lunch with my full belly. The public simply found a way to motivate me today. I came home, dressed, and hit the gym a great back workout. I am planning on hitting my bed soon after this blog comes to a completion. I'll be out bright and early tomorrow, so pass the word to family and friends...my 'sore feable shoulders' are aching from sanding, but willing to hold that ticket book up to my ball point pen.

27 January 2008

After a long weekend, I will be back to the grind tomorrow morning. I spend the majority of the day on the short end of the stick, meaning utilizing a random orbital sander to coarsely and finely sand one of my bedroom's walls. I finished that fun time up with spackling several holes in same. I never realized what a shoulder workout this was, until I attempted to go to the gym and lift a chest workout. The shoulders were simply worn out by this time. That was pretty much the highlight of my weekend, so I'm going to cut this one really short and get ready for the public at 6am. 24 January 2008

I will keep this one brief, as I had a very boring day of NJTP Orientation. This meaning a bunch of "to-do's" introducing us to the "BLACK DRAGON"...which is how the TP is known out here based on the amount of drugs, guns, and money that travels between its guiderails daily. The bottom line, I am eligible to work Construction Overtime when/if it becomes available. It also meant a short workday, so I hit up the gym early...
Based on recent criticism and obvious surrounding dangers (mostly from NY and PA), I played basketball for about 1.5 hours this evening. I only shot around (no games), but it felt good to get back on the court. I dunno about you 30-ish year olds, but the older I get, the more I miss my competitive nature that I loved about myself when it came to sports as a kid. I am hoping to play racketball Saturday morning to work on that nature. I will work on the Stern mp3's this weekend...'stand by to stand by'
It might be cold in Kansas, but NJ is pretty damn frigid.

23 January 2008

Well, to start, the flyers choked in the 3rd to lose to the Devils. There were quite a lot of fights though, so it was definitely worth the trip to Filthadelphia. Before going to the game, I set up my tool chest that I just purchased. I got sick of placing my tools all over the house and garage in various places only to lose my mind later trying to remember where I placed them. I have discovered that the older I get, the more I have to write things down or I instantly forget them. The chest is one of those three-tiers with the smoooth drawers that I bought liners for and all. Yes, I am excited about this...enough so, that I gave Tina a piggie-back ride downstairs and back to see it since she refused to walk down last night at 11-ish. I must say she weighs less after 4 or so black & tans.
I hit the TP early this morning with a few quick stops, but was laughing too much to the latest Howard Stern that I had downloaded for my IPOD. Yes, Pat I am working on placing them on cd's so you can laugh as well in your down time. I just wasn't in the mood to 'hammer the public'. Don't let me fool you though, I still managed to squeeze a few tickets out there.
On a side note to those commenters from "Strong Island"...nothing gives me more pleasure handing a piece(s) of 'wood' to some NY-er who thinks they own the road down here, haha. And secondly, I am an Adonis, even at my age, and accept your challenge in any of the manly sports of the world. I am a man, ...I invented the wheel and built the Ivory Tower out of steel and brawn. On the other side of that side note, I hear things are well with you and your new family...congratulations and best wishes to you. Till tomorrow...

21 January 2008

So, the weekend was pretty normal, while working midnights. I wrote about 25 tickets to people who were usually speeding over 90mph in a 65mph zone. Today, I could barely get out of bed around 3pm-ish. This is normal for a third day of midnights when I am trying to catch up on sleep, and simultaneously trying to get back to normal sleeping.
All I can say is that it was freezing working last night...I would walk up to a car, get their credentials, and sprint back to my hot CrownVictoria or Tahoe, whichever I was driving. The Tahoe is pretty sweet to drive, and thus far no one is looking for them....hence, I was able to pace a car Friday night at 100mph. I'm hitting the bed soon...big day of errands tomorrow and then a Flyers game.

17 January 2008

So, I am adding my own Blog to battle the older brother's much cooler Blog with guns and all...
My day: I got up today, and ran errands for my newly acquired household. Then I hit the gym, where it began to snow like one reads about. It is the first time I've seen any real snow in NJ this year to date. I then proceeded to sled home in my SUV Chevy Cavalier, after running to the Home Depot because almost 1/2 of my house's lightbulbs were out. It was buy bulbs or buy candles. I then cooked chicken on the grill for my lovely wife, and will be reading my new "puppy" book so I can discipline my puppy Bullmastiff when he comes home in three-ish weeks. I will be headed to bed soon after, since I will be up early to see my GI Joe brother tomorrow at noonish. Don't worry, I will be working all weekend, and soon to have some cool stories to share...
